Building Self Confidence

Building self confidence can be a difficult challenge, mostly

when you’re just figuring out who you are as a person. I have put together some useful tips to help you out!

A confident person does what they believe is right, even if it isn’t popular, is willing to take risks, admits to their mistakes and learns from them and is optimistic.

This can help if you want to improve yourself and learn more about self confidence.

1. Celebrate your big and small wins

It’s easy to find flaws in what you have or haven’t done and losing confidence. You need to be proud of the things you’ve achieved! Whether it’s finishing getting a good grade on your assignment or exam or learning how to make a new dish! When you’re feeling down, make a list of all the things you have done to get yourself where you are now.

2. Know that you’re doing your best right now

Time to time you need to remind yourself that you’re doing your best right now! You need to acknowledge the fact that you are pushing yourself to do better and that’s improvement!

3. Be grateful

Sometimes, negativity can take you to places that make you feel the whole world is ending. Every night before going to sleep, tell yourself the three things you are grateful for. Realise what you have and what you can give.

4. Be kind

As corny as it seems, yes this works! Being kind is a human necessity. Once in a while, compliment your co-workers or teacher, open the door for someone or help out a person in need. The feeling after making someone smile, makes you smile and feel like a better person.

5. Clean up!

Cleaning up seems like work sometimes. However, when you decide to clean up the mess in the corner of your room or the mess on top of your desk, your mind becomes more free and clean.

6. You’re Allowed to Make Mistakes

In this world, nobody is perfect. Everyone has made mistakes in their lifetime! The difference is some people chose to learn from their mistakes and others leave it up to luck. You’re allowed to make mistakes in this small world and learn from it so it doesn’t happen again.

7. Set Small Goals

Set some goals for yourself for the week and achieve it! It doesn’t have to be something big and hard to achieve, it can be vacuuming a room or finishing a task. As long as you are proud of the fact that you have achieved it!
